Getting started with AI needs a shared understanding

I attended as a participant

AI Literacy Day at TalTech.

These are my notes as an attendee at ‘AI Literacy Day 2025, TalTech’, held on 29 September 2025.

A day at TalTech discussing purposeful AI use, skills, risks and responsibility.

What I took away

There is a substantial need for basic knowledge. People need more than a list of tools: they need a clear understanding of where to start and what to avoid.

How I use this in my work

I use these insights to structure introductory training. Before more complex techniques, we need shared language, expectations, boundaries and responsibility.

For a starting point in choosing a tool, see the comparison of ChatGPT, Work and Codex. Practical examples distinguish conversation, work with files and technical tasks, helping you choose a first experiment.
