What will we
work through?

We choose exercises relevant to your work. For each task, we define the goal, provide the context and review the result.

  1. Define where the image will be used

Specify the channel, format, main message and brand constraints. Decide whether to start from an existing photograph or a concept.

  2. Guide the composition and lighting

Write a brief describing the viewpoint, background, materials, lighting and space for text.

  3. Refine the image with precise feedback

Compare versions and improve one thing at a time. Practise keeping a consistent direction across images.

  4. Check whether it is ready to use

Review product details, proportions, text and formats. Decide when to continue with a real photograph or design work.

Learning outcomes

What can you take back to work?

  1. You can write an image brief covering its purpose, style and constraints.
  2. You can guide revisions and assess how well an image fits the brand and advertising format.
  3. You can spot errors in the product, text and proportions before using an image.

Preparation and format

Start with
your task.

Choose a product photo or campaign idea and a few brand examples. Use material you have permission to edit; we agree on suitable files and tools before the workshop.

I demonstrate the approach, then participants try it themselves. We review the results together and refine the instructions where the response or solution needs improvement. We agree on tools and accounts before training.

Frequently asked questions

Before we begin.

Answers to help us agree on the right content and format for your team.

Do I need design skills?

No. We work step by step on the image's purpose, composition, lighting and evaluation.

Can we use our own product photos?

Yes, provided you have permission to use and edit them. This also lets us practise keeping essential product features accurate.

Will the text be part of the image too?

We can experiment with text, but it needs a separate check. Offers, prices and other important wording can be added in the design stage so they remain easy to change.

Is training on site or online?

Both are possible. We choose the format around the participants, tasks and practical work required. Duration and schedule are agreed in the proposal.

How is the training priced?

The price depends on content, scope, participant numbers and format. Describe your needs and you will receive a specific programme and proposal before deciding.
